Accessibility scope & audit

Establish the scope. Then test what matters.

Scope First helps agencies and site owners establish whether a website or checkout is likely to fall within an agreed accessibility-law scope, then provides a focused manual audit when confirmed WCAG findings are needed.

A defined answer before a wider commitment.

01 / Assess the scope

Scope Report

£195 No VAT to add

A written, sourced assessment of whether one named website or checkout is likely to fall within the agreed accessibility-law scope. It records the assumptions, exclusions, practical risk and recommended next actions.

Delivered within 3 working days after we receive the site URL, relevant countries and customer type. This is not legal advice, certification, a compliance guarantee or a WCAG conformance audit.

02 / Test the evidence

Full Audit

£595 No VAT to add

A manual review of the agreed pages, templates and journeys at the agreed viewport sizes, with confirmed findings tied to the in-scope WCAG 2.2 Level A and AA criteria.

The exact pages, viewports, access arrangements and delivery date are fixed in the quote before payment.

Enquire about a Full Audit

A template is a distinct page layout or function, such as a product page or contact form. We agree the actual URLs and journeys with you before work starts. This is a defined sample, not an unlimited review of every URL.

What the Full Audit includes

  1. A report of confirmed failures. Each row identifies the URL, template, element or selector, annotated screenshot, WCAG criterion number and name, conformance level, severity and specific fix. Severity is graded blocker, serious or minor.
  2. A keyboard-only pass and screen-reader spot checks. The two key journeys are spot checked using NVDA or VoiceOver.
  3. A one-page tender summary. Written so you can paste it into a tender answer, with the tested scope and findings clear.
  4. A draft accessibility statement. In the GDS model format, listing the non-compliances found.
  5. A method statement. The tools, browser and assistive technology versions, test date and an explicit list of what was not tested.

What is outside the scope

The audit covers the agreed templates and the in-scope WCAG 2.2 Level A and AA success criteria. It does not test every A and AA criterion.

  • No remediation or code changes. Any follow-on work is quoted separately.
  • No legal opinion, certificate, badge or compliance guarantee.
  • No PDF or document accessibility, native mobile apps, AAA criteria, or user testing with disabled people.
  • No video captions or audio description. Criteria 1.2.2, 1.2.3 and 1.2.5 are excluded.
  • Third-party embeds, including payment iframes, chat and maps, are flagged as third-party and are not tested in depth.
  • No unlimited pages or site-wide assurance beyond the agreed sample.

Clear scope. An agreed delivery date.

Capacity is up to 3 audits in flight in the same week. A fourth audit is given a start date before payment is taken. An enquiry does not reserve a slot.

The Full Audit price is flat and does not depend on the number of findings. Access arrangements and the delivery date are agreed before payment.

A disputed finding is re-tested within 2 working days and withdrawn if it cannot be reproduced. This is not a compliance guarantee.

If you have bought a Scope Report or are considering a Full Audit, include:

  1. Your public site URL and the templates or journeys that matter most.
  2. Any deadline, and what you need the report for.
  3. Whether any part of the site requires private access. Do not send passwords or customer data; we will agree the access arrangements separately.

For a Full Audit, we confirm the scope, access arrangements and available start date before payment. Stripe processes Scope Report payments; Soarbank does not receive your full card details.
